the snow, the lights, and the grain
This past summer my aunt gave me an old film camera, a 1979 Chinon AM-3. I was delighted to see that it still worked and even more excited that both the 35mm and the 50mm lenses were in excellent condition.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the best luck with these film rolls. I accidentally destroyed the first roll during rewind and removal, and when I printed the second at CVS I only received ten out of the twenty four photos I took... but at least I like the ones I did get? Hopefully everything will smooth out by the third try.

there are always some unwanted surprises with analogue cameras, but that's why they are so special, because we appreciate more the photographs that actually come out the way we wanted! :-)

ReplyDeleteI love old cameras! As much as I love being able to see immediately what I captured, I think it does take away from really learning the camera. I used to love waiting to see what photos I took!
